Ageing is a complicated process in which the cells eventually die after becoming progressively damaged over time. However, this process can be reversed or at least slowed down by introducing your own fresh cells. These new cells have a special anti-ageing effect both repairing and regenerating.
Results of Lipogems® (Adipose Tissue therapy) and Platelet Rich Plasma anti-ageing therapy are; reduced age spots, a younger appearance, smoother contours, a fresher plumper complexion and fewer wrinkles.
Come in for a consultation with one of our specialists and we will recommend the best treatments for you.
The regenerative powers of Lipogems is widely used and has already treated over 25,000 patients worldwide for a variety of conditions, including effective anti-ageing treatments.
Adipose cells are harvested, treated and injected into the facial area by a Plastic Surgeon, to regenerate and restore volume that has been lost due to the ageing process.
An added advantage is that the fat is harvested from an area where there is an adequate store of healthy fat cells normally the stomach. For many women this means a flatter stomach, in addition to a more youthful appearance.
Lipogems (adipose tissue) can be used to treat:
- Lines and wrinkles
- Refresh aging skin
- To perform a non-surgical facelift
It may be the right treatment for you if:
- You are interested in having a minimally invasive procedure as an alternative to surgery
- You are looking for a lasting treatment
- You would like a natural enhancement
- You have a stubborn area of fat that you would like to reduce
- Your specialist believes you may benefit from having Lipogems®
Lipogems® adipose tissue therapy when used as an aesthetic treatment creates more natural looking results than treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers. The body usually re-accepts its own cells without any side effects.
The treatment can help to fill in fine lines and repair the skin, which is damaged due to age and sun exposure.
Adipose tissue cells contain healthy “replacement cells” which you are born with. They are used by your body to replace damaged cells or those, which are either old, or in the process of dying.
A combined procedure
Some patients who have Lipogems treatment for joint rejuvenation opt to use some of the additional harvested fat for facial rejuvenation. This treatment can be done at the same time (in one procedure) and allows patients to utilise all the harvested and treated fat. This is an increasingly popular combined procedure at The Regenerative Clinic.
To see if you would be a good candidate for this treatment we offer a complimentary consultation where you can discuss treatment options with a leading Plastic Surgeon who is an expert in facial rejuvenation using this new and exciting aesthetic technique.
Some patients may opt to have more liposuction performed for aesthetic reasons. This can be discussed with your Plastic Surgeon at Consultation. The liposuction may be performed under general or local anaesthetic, depending on how much fat is being removed.
Over many years Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment has successfully been used by athletes to heal sports injuries, it is becoming a preferred treatment option by many to rejuvenate the skin and reduce wrinkles, scars, and sun burns.
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy
In layman’s language, it is blood plasma which is rich in platelets, whereas being concentrated means the blood used has been obtained from the patient’s own body. This treatment has growth factors that fuel the healing of soft tissue (a tissue that supports and connects other body organs and structures).
Human blood mainly contains red blood cells (93%), white blood cells (1%) and platelets (6%) and all of them are suspended in plasma. However, during platelet rich plasma skin therapy, the red blood cell count is reduced to 5%, that of platelets is raised to 94% while the white blood cells counts remain constant.
PRP therapy is a very simple and safe procedure where blood is taken from the patient just like a regular blood test. Then the blood is put into a centrifugal machine for 8 to 10 minutes and spun in. This facilitates the separation of blood and then the platelet rich plasma is collected and injected into the desired area.
What areas can be treated with PRP?
Platelet rich plasma therapy can be done in an area that requires texture improvement and almost every person can benefit from it.
Popular areas corrected with PRP Therapy include:
- The décolletage
- Area under the eyes
- Full facial reconstruction
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is also used for:
- Stretch marks
- Skin tightening
- Acne scars
- Areas affected by ulcers, tendon injuries or burns
